VTCT L4 Award in Strength and conditioning
The aim of this qualification is to give you the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to plan, design, implement and evaluate a strength and conditioning programme which includes demonstration and instruction of Olympic lifts.
You will explore a range of relevant theories, concepts and techniques used in different strength and conditioning programmes and be able to apply these to your athletes
Entry requirements
To register on the Level 4 course, you must already be studying towards or have successfully completed our Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification or equivalent recognized Level 3 award

- Programming and Delivering Strength and Conditioning
Assessment
In order to pass the course you must achieve the following:
- Theory knowledge questions
- One case study
- Practical assessment including athletic testing and analysis, Olympic lifting, strength lifting, plyometric training and speed and agility drills
There will be thorough guidance for all of the assessment criteria.
Course Format
Tuition will include both theory and practical, but will be heavily weighted toward practical techniques. Your assessment and practical observation will take place after the course end date, however, in addition to your course timetable, you will be expected to develop your skills by working with a performance athlete or team and provide S&C services to them.
